Ketebe Publishing UK is delighted to partner with Rabbits Road Press for an enriching event that melds intellectual exploration with practical creativity, set for Sunday, 16 February 2025 at 1 PM at Rabbits Road Press. This event, set against the spiritually significant backdrop of Sha’ban, offers a timely opportunity for reflection and preparation ahead of Ramadan. Our aim is to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Islamic culture through a combination of scholarly insight and artistic expression.

We are pleased to feature Jenny Molendyk Divleli, who will draw from her book, Dear Prophet Muhammad: A Letter To The Beloved, to explore the exemplary character and virtues of the Prophet Muhammad. Her insights promise to enrich our connection to Islamic traditions, providing an authentic and intimate perspective that resonates with anyone looking to deepen their understanding of spiritual and creative life.

Begin your afternoon with a talk that delves into historical narratives and brings to life the nuances and depth of the Prophet’s character. This session is designed to inspire young creatives and intellectuals by illustrating how the timeless virtues of the Shama’il can influence personal and artistic endeavours in today’s world.

Following this inspiring talk, join us for a Risograph collage workshop facilitated and led by Rabbits Road Press. Under the guidance of multi-media artist Khizra Ahmed, who will share her expert creative insights, you’ll have the opportunity to engage directly with the themes discussed. This workshop allows you to express your unique creative vision through Risograph printing, a method known for its vibrant and distinctive outputs. You will work with specially selected materials and visuals that resonate with the spiritual and character-driven themes of the Shama’il, creating individual pieces that reflect your personal insights and experiences.

Participants will create their own prints and collages, which they can take home, along with special event-exclusive gifts that commemorate the day’s experiences and inspiration.

The workshop is designed to be accessible to all, regardless of artistic experience. Whether you are a seasoned artist or new to creative expression, you will find the process rewarding and enriching. We will provide all the necessary tools and materials, including a range of papers and inks to choose from, allowing you to explore and experiment in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Spaces are limited, so don’t miss your chance to be part of something truly special.
